Working at MUSE Community + Design

MUSE Community + Design was founded by Courtney Kashima, AICP, in 2014 with the intention to make better plans and to create a better place to work. Our commitment to equity and inclusion doesn’t end with our projects, it’s how we operate as a firm. We are committed to fostering a supportive work environment that celebrates each team member for who they are.

From staff-informed COVID-19 policies to peer-led professional development, we all take ownership in firm operations.

There's space at MUSE for an advocate's heart. I feel like I am working for a mission: helping our clients and communities achieve their goals and potential.

Our People

We are dreamers, nerds, artists, parents, advocates, and friends. We’re looking for people who are just as willing to scribe for a colleague’s meeting as they are to design a team scavenger hunt through Wicker Park. People who can make connections, listen with humility, and push us to be better at what we do.

We are looking for accomplices in our mission to design safer, healthier, and more equitable communities.

Meet our team.

The team at MUSE is creative, curious, and compassionate. There's a real commitment to learning from each other.
