Projects

We Will Chicago

Coordinating across seven research teams, an advisory committee, and community partners, MUSE led a consultant team to facilitate the development of Chicago’s first ever equity-driven policy framework.

West Chicago Forward/Adelante

MUSE led a bicultural and bilingual engagement process in suburban West Chicago, going above and beyond simply translating materials. The result was a culturally competent community-designed comprehensive plan.

Cook County Transit Plan

As Cook County Department of Transportation and Highways undertook its first Transit Plan, MUSE designed and led equitable and user-centered public engagement. Our findings were used to verify research and complement the technical team’s work.

Glen Ellyn Streetscape

MUSE leads business and community engagement for a streetscape redesign in Downtown Glen Ellyn. Our work included education and engagement around the importance of investing in the urban forest.

Chicago Climate Action Plan

With a priority to reach historically marginalized communities, MUSE led engagement as the City of Chicago updated its Climate Action Plan in line with the C40 Cities Pledge.

Divvy/Lyft Network Expansion

MUSE empowers resident advocates to ensure Divvy’s bikeshare expansion on Chicago’s South and West sides is driven by community. Our interactive tools expand access to participation.

Vision Zero West Side

MUSE convened neighbors and local leaders to collectively design Chicago’s first neighborhood-level Vision Zero action plan.

Washington Park Action Plan

MUSE led an asset-based approach to develop a resident-centered, neighborhood-level economic development action plan for the Washington Park community on Chicago’s South Side.

Municipal Planning Services

MUSE provides both interim and on-going municipal planning services to cities and villages across the Chicagoland region.
