Building on Elevated Chicago’s Green Line South Action Plan efforts, MUSE is leading the development of an equitable and inclusive economic development strategy in the Washington Park community. Working alongside project partners like CMAP and Elevated Chicago, as well as local business owners, youth, and longtime residents, the team’s work celebrates local culture. 

In this process, community members are co-designers and the primary audience for a living document that plans for expanding on existing economic activity and bringing in new opportunities. The deliverable includes tools, resources, and recommended programs to empower the community to advance the goals and ideas laid out. In that spirit, the action plan can and will be flexible and amended to remain relevant to the ever-changing times.
