Lizeth Solis - SAFE Ambassador
Lizeth Solis (She/They) is a SAFE (Streets Are For Everyone) Ambassador, supporting the Chicago Department of Transportation’s public engagement and Vision Zero efforts. Lizeth is passionate about community engagement, road safety, and equity. As a Chicago native, Lizeth brings her lived experiences and inquiring mind to delve deeper into issues that range from the built environment, social mobility, and equity.
Lizeth worked as a seasonal SAFE Ambassador prior to becoming a full-time Ambassador, where she got the opportunity to lead group rides, facilitate bike riding classes as a way of expanding people’s mobility options, and attend numerous community events to promote safer streets. Lizeth received her Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts and Sciences in Earth, Society and Environmental Sustainability from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and continues to work on efforts to make cities safe and equitable.
