Lizbeth Carrazco - Associate

Lizbeth Carrazco (She/Her) is a Chicago native passionate about helping communities build sustainable futures. Throughout her life, Lizbeth experienced first-hand how City programs improve people’s lives. Her experiences volunteering across the city have helped shape her approach to amplifying communities’ voices and ideas. She works to ensure everyone has a seat at the table and that no viewpoint is overlooked. She is a firm believer that “la comunidad es siempre en el mente y en el frente” (The community is always in front and in mind).  

Prior to joining MUSE, Lizbeth worked with the Steans Center at DePaul University where she researched food security across Chicago. She has also worked with the Greater Food Purchasing Program (GFPP), Chicago Grows Food, and helped develop projects that reimagined Pilsen’s industrial corridor.  

Lizbeth has a Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Studies and Sustainable Cities from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Master’s Degree from DePaul University in Sustainable Urban Development.
