The Cook County Department of Transportation and Highways (DoTH) created its first-ever county-wide transit plan, focusing on equitable investments, boosting ridership, and increasing seamless transit operations throughout the region.
MUSE led community engagement and outreach for the plan, including creating a project website, online survey, and conducting listening sessions and focus groups. Our approach centered residents who are most transit reliant, to ensure recommendations made in the plan are rooted in equity.
Our efforts were supported by an accountability partner, Transportation Equity Network (TEN), to ensure an equitable approach to the process as a whole.
